Ethical Houston has a good essay up on Walter Cronkite. For those of you who are much younger than me, just about everybody, Cronkite was a newsman who worked for CBS news during the turbulent 1960’s. He was an icon. People looked up to and trusted him. When he after the Tet offensive condemned the Vietnam War, it was for many Americans a turning point in the political discourse.
